Indicators ¶
To describe genetic diversity and structure, we will calculate the following parameters from which corresponding indicators can be derived:
- Genetic diversity (Watterson's theta)
- Effective population size(Ne)
- Inbreeding (Runs of homozygosity FROH)
- Adaptive genetic diversity (pRDA)
- Connectivity and genetic structure (FST and PCA)
- Potential adaptedness to future climatic conditions (genomic offset)
- Degree of hybridization/introgression (admixture) in downy oak and linden
For more information on the significance of these parameters, we recommend Infographics 1 and 2 of the GenDiB project.
