Indicators

To describe genetic diversity and structure, we will calculate the following parameters from which corresponding indicators can be derived:

  • Genetic diversity (Watterson's theta)
  • Effective population size(Ne)
  • Inbreeding (Runs of homozygosity FROH)
  • Adaptive genetic diversity (pRDA)
  • Connectivity and genetic structure (FST and PCA)
  • Potential adaptedness to future climatic conditions (genomic offset)
  • Degree of hybridization/introgression (admixture) in downy oak and linden

For more information on the significance of these parameters, we recommend Infographics 1 and 2 of the GenDiB project.
